K-TEK increased its level of performance of manual welding processes as one of the leading technological means of metal working. The company pays much attention to use of quality materials, and that is why we introduced control of quality of processes and materials subject to ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 standards.
MIG-MAG
MIG-MAG welding is the most widely used type of welding in industry. It uses the heat of an electric arc to heat the metal being welded and the filler metal to their melting points.
AC/DC TIG
The TIG process involves creating an electric current arcing between non-melting electrodes (tungsten) and the part to be welded. With this process, you can weld with or without filler metal. The welds are higher quality, but the process is slower.
MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION
Magnetic particle testing is a method of nondestructive testing used to detect surface defects: occurring on the surface or down to a few millimeters deep. Magnetopowder inspection is to magnetize the inspected part by a strong enough magnetic field.
If a gap (defect) exists, the magnetic field lines are distorted, creating a "magnetic scatter field", which becomes visible to the naked eye due to the indicator product applied to the surface for inspection.
The defect becomes visible due to the black color and/or fluorescent indicator product that is attracted around the defect.
It allows the inspection of parts made of steel, cast iron, wrought steels, welds, sheets, pipes... all kinds of parts of simple or complex geometry, as long as the material used is ferromagnetic in nature. It is widely used in both production and maintenance.
